On the 2nd October this year, Elizabeth French (Fd 95) will run the London Marathon to raise funds for the Epilepsy Society in memory of her sister, Penelope.
20 years ago this year, my sister Penelope died after having an epileptic fit in the bath. She was 25. I've decided that, this year, I'm going completely out of my comfort zone to support an excellent charity that researches the condition that caused her death. Anyone who remembers me from school may remember that I HATE running. Honestly, hate it.
Following semi-major surgery in April this year, I am following a proper training plan, and am posting all my runs to Facebook to keep myself accountable.
PLEASE sponsor me, as much as you can, so that I can raise money for this great cause. As very few alumni will have met Penelope, sponsor me to encourage me to train harder and run faster on the day!
If you're in London on 2nd October, come on the day and cheer loudly if you see me!
Thank you so much.
