Dr John Godrich (WB 44) has published his post-war memories of life at Uppingham from 1944 to 1949. As a West Bank pupil, under Sam Kendall, at the end of John Wolfenden’s headship, life was very different to today’s experience. John’s recollections offer a fascinating insight from his time at the School with personal stories and amusing incidents, accompanied by photographs and sketches.
