An occasion when the whole Uppingham community comes together.

You are warmly invited to join us for Speech Day on Friday 30th June. This is a popular annual event for the whole Uppingham community and will be held on the last day of the Summer term, please see more details below. Partners are welcome

Speech Day is always a highlight in the calendar and we expect a good crowd. With limited space for the Chapel Service and the School Show, it’s a good idea to book early. We hope you can join us.

Event Details:

  • 9.30am to 10.10am: Chapel Service
  • 11.00am to 12.30pm: *Speech Day Show (You may be seated for up to 2 hours)
  • 12.30pm: OU Drinks (Chapel Lawn, weather permitting / Undercroft)
  • 1.30pm: OU Lunch (Memorial Hall)
  • 3.30pm: End of event

*Please note - The School Show is expected to last around 1 1/2 hours (guests are likely to be seated in the marquee for up to 2 hours). Attendance is optional and you are most welcome to book in for the OU drinks and lunch activities only if preferred.  

  • Dress code: Smart casual

Bookings:

Due to a substantial increase in operating costs for OU events, a charge of £15.00 per person has been introduced for this event, although the ticket price remains heavily subsidised. If you would like to book for the Show only, please DO NOT use the form below, email Becca Mills to book your ticket/s.

  • Please use the form below to confirm your booking/s. (If you are booking multiple tickets, please ensure guest names and dietary requirements are specified for each person, if applicable, as well as individual email addresses please, so that event information can be shared in advance of the event). 
  • If you would like to reserve a table/s for your group of friends, please email Jo Franklin who will be pleased to reserve the places for you. Tables accommodate 8 guests in total. Guests can book in individually, quoting the table host's name in their seating preferences.
